Breast Surgery
Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation - enlargement and enhancement are some of the most common procedures. The anatomy of the body determines limitations of size, and must be adhered to if the patient wants a natural look. Generally an incision around the lower edge of the nipple-areola is performed. This approach leaves a very minimal scar and allows good access to the operative placement of the implant.
Breast Lift
A breast lift can raise and reshape sagging breasts by removing excess skin and repositioning remaining tissue and nipples. The first step involves the repositioning of the nipple-areolar complex. Excess stretched skin is then removed, while a breast implant is simultaneously inserted to replace missing breast volume.
Breast Implants
Saline and Silicone breast implants are used in breast augmentation and breast reconstruction.
Body Contouring
Liposuction
In recent years, suction lipectomy has become one of the most commonly performed plastic surgery procedures. In response to society's overwhelming demand for a healthy and youthful appearance, suction lipectomy, or liposuction, is utilized by men and women to remove fat from areas that do not respond to dieting and exercise. In particular, the lateral "saddlebag" area of the thigh, the medial thigh, the lower abdomen, the medial knee area, the hip roll and the double chin are the most common areas where liposuction is performed.
Tummy Tuck
The "tummy tuck" procedure sounds simple at first, but it is actually a very involved process. The procedure is generally reserved for women who have excess skin in the lower abdomen as a result of pregnancy, weight loss or similar occurrences. When it becomes apparent that liposuction and exercise will not correct the problem, surgical recontouring of the abdomen becomes necessary.
Facial Surgery
Facelift
Facelift surgery is designed primarily to correct loose skin at the corners of the mouth, in the jowl area and under the neck. The surgeon carefully separates facial skin from the underlying structures and "redrapes" it in a naturally pleasing fashion, being careful not to over-correct and give an unnatural look.
Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty, or nasal contouring surgery, is performed to improve the appearance of the nose and achieve facial balance with aesthetically pleasing lines without changing the patient's natural identity. Rhinoplasty is also used to correct deformities resulting from injuries, as well as to "westernize" the oriental nose. Rhinoplasty is frequently performed in conjunction with procedures to alleviate breathing obstructions and sinus congestion from a deviated nasal septum.
Facial Implants
There are several implants that are available for chin and cheek augmentation.
Eyelid Lift
Wrinkles around the eyes or bags under the eyes often appear as part of the natural aging process. In many cases, they are inherited and may appear quite early in life. Blepharoplasty is the procedure used to correct, the severe wrinkling of eyelid skin and remove the bagginess caused by fat pockets in both the upper and lower eyelids.
Ear Surgery
Forehead Lift
When considering aesthetic surgery of the eyelid area, one must first consider the eyebrow. Upon examination of the upper eyelids, a more extensive sagginess or hooding in the lateral eyebrow is often found. This condition can project a severely droopy, sleepy appearance.
